5/31/03 - According to the Ipecac BBS Site Admin:
All Tomorrow's Parties has cancelled their festival in Los Angeles that was scheduled for June 19-22. This means no Melvins or Fantômas shows.

I suspect MELVINS will make up for it somehow. If this is true --- Damn that ATP anyway!!!

5/30/02 - My pics of the April 25th, 2002 Troubadour Hollywood show.

5/29/02 -A chunk of the Melvins internet world has been crapped on. The Melvins Rare MP3s site was shut down and wiped out. I've been trying to figure out the downage and finally contacted the host admin who said:

"here is the problem, your website generates a very high volume of traffic. Because of this, we had to disable your site .. not really because of the volume, but because of the content. We can't have other people's work on our site (anime, mp3s, software). It will get us shutdown really fast. It violates our provider's AUP and the AUP you agreed to when you created your account.
I hope you understand.
I'm very sorry, but it violates the AUP because you don't own it. Its a copyright violation :(
Violating an AUP (our provider's AUP) is what I was worried about, not your site.
I don't see any problem with a 'fan' site.. but I think the MP3 (bootleg or not) are dangerous copyrigth violations."

It was nice while it lasted!

5/10/02 - May 9, 2002 Amoeba Music Hollywood, CA Free Show
I got there about 20 minutes late (traffic woes and fuzzy directions), Melvins were already playing. They played for about 45 minutes, most all of H.A.T. It's a huge place and it was pretty packed in there. People were standing in the cd aisles and on the upper level watching them boys make noise. I wiggled up center about 5 aisles back from the stage. They were great, no mu-mus, button up black dress shirts for Buzz and Kevin, don't know about pants. Dale had a skull shirt and shorts. Buzz thanked the crowd and they did a meet n greet afterwards. I didn't recognize anyone from the list, but saw the Riverside Melvins hardcores that I usually see at Melvins. Looking forward to May 25th Troubadour show!

2/25/02 -The Melvins Rare MP3s site is on it's way back! Thanks to two generous Melvins fans, we were able to open our 100 MB account last week. Check it out at http://melvins.sunishun.com/. We still need help. There's about 300 MB or so of files that need hosting.
Anybody who'd like to help, please contact us. We're shooting for enough funds to subscribe yearly ($20/yr) for the extra 200 mb. Any amount will help and is really appreciated.
