ALTAMONT Get Down

Buzz was there. Kevin was busy recording w/Tomahawk. Guy Pinhas from Acid King was there. I think most people came to see Stephen McDonald (Redd Kross). Rumor was that White Flag were playing before Altamont -- they were practicing up the road somewhere. It wasn't to be, though. Altamont opened at about 10 pm and were great. Better than the last time, I think. I took lots of pics which I'll post once developed. Set list:

Saint of All Killers
Up River
Chicken Lover
Dead Car
Pirate Love (Joey vocals)
Bathroom (NEW)
Civil War Fantasy
Frank Bank (NEW)
Our Darling
Swami

Dale was in fine form as were Dan and Joey. Joey didn't have his kit, and had to "customize" Dale's. Dan played his uncle's old bass as usual. I like the new songs. Dale said new Altamont is in the works. Those two songs are ready and working on more. Joey said new Acid King is in the works. He's looking forward to recording with Guy. It was great talking a bit with Dale. Dan and Joey are two of the nicest people you'll meet. They were selling a new Altamont shirt. Black w/silver "Altamont" in kind of a western font. Also selling Altamont/Acid King split, Civil War Fantasy and Our Darling cds for $5! Joey said they thought they'd sold the last of the Man's Ruin, but he found them at home. Yea!!
